Microsoft is a US company. At the same time, Microsoft has done a lot so that European customers can keep their data in Europe. We tell you what that means in practice, and set it up correctly.
- EU Data Boundary: since 2025, Microsoft stores and processes customer data of EU customers within the EU as standard.
- Austria cloud region: Microsoft operates data centres in Austria. We clarify which data can be held there in the consultation.
- Data processing: Microsoft's data protection addendum is part of the contract. We help you document it for your record of processing activities.
- Secure standards: we set up two-factor authentication, restricted external sharing and clear admin roles from day one.

Frequently asked questions
Is Microsoft 365 more expensive with you than directly from Microsoft?
No. The licences cost the Microsoft list price with us too. What you get in addition is our setup and support, and we show that separately and transparently.
Which plan is right for me?
If your team needs Word and Excel on a PC, Business Standard is the usual choice. If you only use email and Teams and work in the browser, Business Basic is enough. Business Premium pays off as soon as company laptops or phones need to be managed and secured centrally. You can mix plans within a team.
Can we bring our existing emails across?
Yes. We migrate mail, calendar and contacts from practically any existing system, whether Exchange, IMAP hosting or another provider. The switch happens at an agreed time, usually in the evening.
How long is the term?
Microsoft licences usually run for one year. You can add licences at any time within the term. Reducing them is only possible at renewal. Monthly cancellable licences also exist, but they are noticeably more expensive with Microsoft.
Is our data in Microsoft 365 backed up?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but does not provide a classic backup that lets you restore deleted data after months. For that we recommend an additional backup, for example via Hornetsecurity (in German).
Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Not necessarily. Copilot is a paid add-on. We recommend testing it with a few people first and then deciding. Sharing settings and permissions should be clean beforehand, because Copilot finds everything a person has access to.
We already have Microsoft 365. Can you still take over?
Yes. We take over existing environments, first check the security settings and switch the licences to us as partner. Your data stays exactly where it is.
